A Valentine's Day Post
Once upon a time in a land far away (Mesa, Arizona), there lived a hansom prince (Doug) and a beautiful princess (Me) (for the stories sake). One day the sister of the prince told him that she had a princess in mind for him and that he should take her out on a date. The prince was a little hesitant since the princess was eight years younger than he. But after months of the sister bugging the prince he finally called the princess. They had a very nice first date even though the prince showed up in a sling because he had broken his collar bone. The prince and the princess continued to date. One day the prince invited the princess out on a very special date, she thought for sure he was going to ask her to marry him. She put on her most beautiful gown and spent a lot of time with her hair to make sure she looked perfect. The prince and princess enjoyed a very nice meal, rode on a gondola, and walked in the moonlight by the water, but the prince didn’t ask the princess to marry him. She was very disappointed. Then a few weeks later, as the princess was doing dishes in her p.j.’s (as princesses sometimes have to do), the prince came in and asked her to marry him. She was so excited that to this day she can’t remember exactly what he said. Since then they have lived happily ever after with their three boys Prince Matthew, Prince Nathaniel, and Prince Daniel. (Or Matt, Nate, and Danny) And that is only the beginning and not the end.
Then......
Now......
