That's what I think when I notice I haven't put anything new up. So let me fill you in.
Doug finishes his third year of dental school (can we all say yea!!!!! together) this next week. Of course that is after the battery of finals and studying. Then he gets three blissful weeks off, except of course for the one patient that is scheduled for major work right in the middle of break. But never you fear, I have my honey do list all ready for him so he won't be bored.
We are excited to announce the success of Matt's first pinewood derby car. He and dad spent many an enjoyable hour working and refining the car. And to all of our surprise it was quite a fast little thing. They modeled it after a Formula 1 Ferrari and those guys must know their stuff because Matt came in first in the 8 year old category. Pictures to come!!!!!
Nate continues with his hope to turn everyone of his parents hairs gray. Today while being sent to time out in his room he climbed out his window, when went through the side door to get a toy in the basement, and then finally returned the way he came to make sure no one noticed he was out. Too bad for him that dad saw him from the bathroom window. CAUGHT IN THE ACT!!!!
Danny is learning about bugs in preschool this week and will be able to see a caterpillar turn into a butterfly soon. He comes home with singing all the songs from school. Lately it has been "Rain, Rain Go Away" in honor of our wet weather. He enjoys his friend Gage coming to play and I don't know what we are going to do in May when Gage's mom doesn't teach classes anymore. He is so use to having a buddy and mom is not a good substitute.
I have been going on field trips with the boys, spring cleaning (never understood that until I moved to Cleveland), getting taxes done (oh fun), and being class mom for both of the boys classes (maybe next year I can do all three). I am looking forward to going home at the end of May to see Katie graduate from high school and getting a little vacation. I don't know that Doug is all that excited seeing as he has to play Mister Mom for the five days I'm gone. But I figure this gives them all the opportunity to do all those things that boys enjoy doing that mom's don't like being around.
We had interesting weather this year for Easter. Nana and Papa came to visit and got to enjoy 18 inches of snow on Easter day. (Pictures on that too) But some how the Easter Bunny found it's way through the snow and eggs where delivered. Doug and Dad spent a few hours shoveling the driveway with the boys playing in the snow. The next day was warmer so we took the boys sledding. Dan ended up with a bloody nose and Matt had a bruise on the side of the head, so it was a successful trip.
